bullet.gif Margie and the MotorClothes staff at Adventure Harley-Davidson has set up a display of HOG clothing for sale. You will be able to purchase a chapter tee shirt during business hours, not just at Chapter Meetings. You will be ready to roll in style!!!

-*-Chapter Meeting Date Moved-*- -*-Preride Changed-*-
bullet.gif Because of the Labor Day holiday, the September chapter meeting will be Monday September 8th. There will be no preride. Instead, we will be practicing field events for the upcoming Chapter Challenge. Meet at Adventure at 6:00 to practice.

HOG Chapter Directory **BACK ON**
bullet.gif The upcoming HOG Chapter Directory photo session is back on. Appointments can be made for Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday August 27, 28 or 30th. The appointments are booking up quickly. Contact Kim Gray at Adventure Harley-Davidson during the 105th party 08/23/08. After that, the sign up sheet will be in the customer's lounge.

Ride Ohio
bullet.gif Pat Byers is heading up the committee to put together a tour of the great state of Ohio. We need volunteers to help out with this event. If you can help, please contact Pat. There are photos of this year's exploritory ride of South East Ohio. Check it out...

Don't Forget
We send our newsletter by email only. Please contact Dave Nieder so he can add your email address to the database. If you still would like a printed newsletter, a copy can be picked up at Adventure Harley-Davidson. Ask at the front desk and they will be more then happy to get a newsletter into your hands.
The October meeting is the last chance to turn in your mileage for this year's Mileage Challenge. If you turn your mileage in any time on or after September 26, your ending mileage will automatically become your beginning mileage for next year. If you do not turn in your final mileage, you will have to re-register for next year. The mileage challeng runs from the October meeting to the October meeting of the next year.

bullet.gif Membership Meetings: The Harley Owners Group meetings are held at Adventure Harley-Davidson on the first Monday of every month.
6:00 pm: Pre-Ride (weather permitting)(May thru October)
7:30 pm: Harley Owners Group meeting (May thru October)
7:00 pm: Harley Owners Group meeting (November, December, February thru April)
bullet.gif Chapter Newsletter: The Chapter newsletter is published every month and is sent to current members only. Submissions for the newsletter may be sent to Adventure Harley-Davidson at any time or by email to the Editor.

Anyone interested in receiving your newsletter via e-mail, send a request to the Dave Nieder. Please include your name, member number and email address. The newsletters are delivered in Adobe PDF format.
bullet.gif HOG Mileage Program: Don't forget to enroll in the HOG Mileage Program and get pins, patches and medallions for the miles you ride. See your HOG Membership Manual for the rules. Enrollment forms are available at Adventure Harley-Davidson (Take your bike cause they are required to verify the VIN and the mileage).

How to Join

If you would like to join the Tuscarawas County HOG Chapter, bring the following items to Adventure Harley-Davidson in Dover anytime during business hours or during the monthly chapter meeting:
  • Your active national H.O.G. card.
  • Annual dues of $15.

Suggest a Ride

 
If you have a suggestion for a ride, submit it by email to the Activities Director. Be sure to include the name and location of the destination, your name and any comments you may have.

Please keep in mind that the rides are scheduled several months in advance and the destinations are reviewed for suitability before being scheduled. Suitability requires that a destination have the ability to handle a large group and provide safe, adequate motorcycle parking. Other factors such as distance, road conditions, weather, time-of-day, day-of-week, and difficulty of ride are also considered.
